Global warming will hurt the U.S. Most of the population lives by the East Coast. Melting ice caps and ice sheets raise sea level. Raised sea level will damage homes and businesses along the East Coast. According to the Union of Concerned Scientists, Navy bases would also be affected. It would be in the best interests of the climate, economy, and homes of the U.S. citizens to take action.

Bangladesh is one of the poorer, smaller, countries that is easily flooded. If the ice caps and sheets were to melt, many people would have trouble taking care of their families because of the extreme loss of land. It is essential that global warming is fixed so that many smaller countries do not pay the price in an extreme manner.

According to the NASA Interactive Time Machine, if just the Greenland ice sheet melts, large amounts of the Amazon Delta will be flooded. Loggers are already cutting down large amounts of trees, which leads to even more carbon dioxide in the air. If the Amazon was to flood, more trees would be lost. Not only would this hurt the environment of humans, but also affect the environment of the Amazon rainforest.
